Fall Festivals

Well, it's that time again, when school starts up, the days grow darker, and the nights are cooler! Here's a list of fun this to do for the Autumn season; (some are old, some are new).

Of course, there's the Mt. Angel Oktoberfest which begins on the second Thursday after Labor Day and runs through the following Sunday.

Then the Portland Revels has two fun things coming up, a Fall Equinox Pub Sing Sunday September 24th 6:00-8:30pm @ Old Market Pub and an Apple Cider Making Party Sunday October 1st, 1:00-6:00pm @ Parker Barn in Cedar Mill (scroll down to EVENTS for further info)

Don't forget your local Farmer's Market! If you scroll down a bit on this site, you will also find info on the Northwest Wine & Food Festival (Sept. 30th) and the Oregon Brewers Guild Fresh Hop Beer Tastival (Oct 14th). I heard rumors they might have some meade available for tasting, (although it's technically not beer), so it might be interesting to check it out!

Finally, the good ol' Verboort Sausage Festival, "always the first Saturday in November". Don't know if I'll try to make first in line again, but I'll definitely be there early!

Come on Kevin, don't they have beer and sausage fests in Japan? If not, you can start your own! Drink twenty beers, put a big weisswurst down your pants and chase the neighbors around, while screaming in German.

Fun in the Sun!

You should introduce Wheat Woman to Corn Cob Bob, or would that be going against the grain? Better not, he might start stalking her.

Enjoy the season.

Hey, that's an idea....

But, then she'll just cheat on him with John Barleycorn, and well, you know what happens to him...
