Summer Solstice!

Anouncements! Anouncements! A-nnnnoounc-ments! Wednesday, June 21st is officially the longest day of the year. Title bar link takes you to the techie math stuff a certain portion of our fellow bloggers enjoy. For the rest of us, MidSummer can be fun way to spend the day, especially for the wacky Scandanavians! Maybe they're just slow, since they do the May Pole thing at the height of Summer instead of in the Spring, like the rest of us. Check out the picture, the Swedish May Pole is slightly different.... and Norwegians just light huge Bonfires, like the Irish, and party all night long! Uff Da!

Thanks for telling me that! Now I have an excuse to go outside and set that huge pile of junk on fire...and dance around it with my good friend Jack Daniels!

Ya want fire? Come to Southern California during wildfire-season! Whoo-hoo!! Nothing like watching the fire creep down the mountain into the town your home is in!! Better than the 4th of July!!

Actually, no big fires yet. I think most of the flammables were eaten up in the fires a couple of years ago when it was really nasty.

Whoa, am I imagining things, or did you change the picture on this post today....

Nuts...it rained. I stayed inside, enjoyed beer & pizza, and blogged.

Yes, the pic changed. Evidently the previous one has some kind of automatic "Poof" button if used "Unauthorized" or whatever. Ya, 'cuz I make alot of $$ off of random pics off the internets..(/sarcasm-learned that from somebody)

So I picked another one from someone who wasn't being a jerk about it.

Yeah, that cracks me up too. People get defensive over their pics sometimes. Ah well, a thousand words is worth a picture, I always say!
