Well, our whirlwind Father's Day is over, back to the grindstone!

We drove all over town, picking up a friend of Bean's in Beaverton, then over to Milwaukie for the daughter of a friends graduation Bar-B-Que; then picked up my dad, went to the Grotto for Taize Prayer, (where my sis-in-law was singing), had dinner at McMenamin's Kennedy School, drove to another of Bean's frinds to pick up some shoes, dropped off dad, dropped of friend. Got home at 9 pm-whew!

And to you, Poppa Moody. That was one of the busier father's day in a while, but it was a good one.

It almost made me forget about Flag Day.

Hey thanks for coming over, it was great to see all of you guys again. Hopefully we'll make it back to Takahashi one of these days.

I'm a day late for this blog, but what the heck. Happy Father's Day!

We spent the entire day at Knott's Berry Farms, one of my favorite family amusement parks in So. Cal. For some odd reason, the weather was perfect (75-85), and the park was mostly empty. It was a perfect day! :-)

How did I spend Father's Day? First I cleaned house while the wife was off coaching her tennis club and the kids were at a traditional dance club practice. Then I picked up the kids, we had bakery-fresh sandwiches for lunch, and we did some more housecleaning. Then the wife came home and we went to a shopping center in a neighboring city to do a bit of shopping.

In other words, it was just like any Sunday except for the presents I got.
