Relatively Exact:

Now, be fair, Mr. Tigris. He may be a lot of things, but Aaahnold is definitely NOT a Hitler.

Hmm. I have a Danish friend/former co-worker (I haven't heard from since he returned to L.A. from Japan in 1998, but I digress) whose parents (he claims...with some evidence) own and operate a fairly well-known antique furniture shop in the Beverly Hills area. Apparently they say Arnold Schwarzenegger came into their shop once in the early '90s. He walked into the store, swaggered around in a circle in the middle of the main aisle, nodded, said, "Impressive," and then left and never came back. Apparently they say they've had a number of celebrity figures visit their store, and Arnold most definitely seemed the dumbest.

Arnold is the best energy advocate in the country in real terms. He has both the corporate shill Presidential candidates beat in a cakewalk.

There are things I don't agree with him on, but he has been a much better governor for California than Reagan was and he has taken independent stands on things.

It is also telling how he hasn't campaigned since the RNC.

As much as I would like to pooh-pooh Arnold, I am having a tough time doing it. If the Republican party had a core philosophy like Arnie's instead of the quasi-fascists, I would be much less worried than I am now.

I was just commenting on the pix ..the pose ...whether he is or not I donnah care... *chuckles* I remember the interview they had with him about getting the first H1...he dad forgotten the blinker lever did not reset like in some cars being completely manual ...so "I was going downe the freeway with a blinker on like some total geek I was so embarassed" Hes really concerned about his image, and Don give him time .. hes new..they havent corrupted him into total uselessness and complete greed yet. I still liked him better as a movie star than a politician.

Few make it out of politics unstained and I agree that Arnie was more fun in films...but I am going to reserve judgment for the time being (until his stain shows).

Besides, look at California's last movie-star-turned-politician! Aaaahnold seems like a vast improvement. At least he actually seems to be doing things (whether I agree with them or not) instead of just being a handsome, smiling face fronting for some faceless interest group.
